Washing Instructions

• Check Label: Always look at the specific care label first.
• Prepare Coat: Zip up all zippers and remove loose dirt.
• Use Special Detergent: Use a technical wash (like Nikwax Tech Wash) designed for waterproofs; avoid regular detergents or fabric softeners.
• Machine Settings: Wash on a gentle, cold cycle (around 30°C).
• Don't Overload: Wash no more than one or two waterproof items at a time. 

Drying & Reproofing

• Air Dry: Hang to drip dry in a well ventilated area.
• Tumble Dry (Optional): A low-heat tumble dry can help reactivate the Durable Water Repellency (DWR).
• Heat (Alternative): If no dryer, use a hairdryer or iron on low heat (with a cloth) to warm the fabric.
• Re-waterproof: When water stops beading, apply a DWR spray (like Nikwax TX Direct) evenly to the outside, hang to dry and then heat to activate. 

What to Avoid

• Harsh Chemicals: Bleach, fabric softener and powder detergents damage the waterproof finish.
• High Heat: Avoid high temperatures from dryers or irons.
• Ironing Directly: Never iron the fabric surface.
